Visa and Mastercard Automated Billing Updater Opt-Out Information
The Visa Account Updater (VAU) and MasterCard Automated Billing Updater (ABU) services will provide updates to merchants who maintain card-on-file (COF) account information to process recurring customer payments, such as subscription or utility companies. These services will assist with reducing the number of declined transactions due to expired cards, lost/stolen cards, or other card-related changes not reported by you to impacted merchants.
In order to avoid these disruptions, VISA and MasterCard have developed the VAU and ABU services through which United Consumers Credit Union will provide your new card details to participating merchants automatically. These services enable secure and electronic updating of your credit and/or debit card account information with participating merchants in a timely and efficient manner.
